Primary use for the Kid Transit roller sunshade.
To reduce the direct sunlight coming through the rear side windows of your car. The sunshade is designed to easily attach to rear side windows using two suction cups. The sunshade blind pulls down to the required height and can be secured in place via another suction cup.
The sunshade is specifically intended to reduce the amount of direct sunlight that shines on the back seats of your car.
What the Kid Transit car sunshade is not!!!
The sunshade is not a toy and should not be given to your baby/child. The suction cups may come off and could cause danger to your child if swallowed.
How to attach the sunshade.
Firstly, please examine the sunshade and if anything looks loose and/or not as you’d expect please get in touch straight away.
Each sunshade has two loose suction cups that must be attached to the main roller sunshade unit. This is easily done by inserting the rear peg of the suction cup into the larger hold on the rear side of the main unit and then pulling sharply to the side to fix in place (as shown in the video below).
Fixing the sunshade to your side window
All suction cups are susceptible to coming off, but if you prepare your window and cup you can reduce the chances of this occurring.
- Make sure your car window is clean and dry. Ideally you should use an alcohol wipe but a good clean with a damp cloth will help. Any grease or dirt can affect suction.
- Make sure the suction cup is clean. Again clean with an alcohol wipe or a damp cloth.
- Push the suction cups on to the window and apply pressure for 5 to 10 seconds. The aim is to push out as much air as possible because if air breaks the seal between the cup and window it can lose suction.
- If the cup is not staying on your window you can try adding a little water to the cup. A very small amount of water can help suction.
NOTE: If the suction cups are deformed or misshaped this can hamper their suction. You can immerse the suction cups (not the full roller blind) into boiling water and they will return to their original shape and elasticity.
Extending and retracting the roller blinds
Each roller blind pulls down to a maximum height of 43cm. The blind will stay extended but you can also secure it to your window using the attached suction cup.
To retract the blind make sure the suction cup is not attached to your window and push the red button on the main sunshade unit.
Please ensure that the sunshade is securely fixed to your car window before traveling with your child.
